Doctor Contact Lens

EyeMax is so grateful for all our wonderful patients and the opportunity you have given us to care for your eyes this year!

Providing excellent care and convenience to our patients is a top priority for EyeMax. That’s one of the reasons we have chosen to build our practice inside Walmart- you’re just a step or two away from ordering glasses and contacts in the Vision Center.

We also understand that many of our patients prefer ordering online, so we’ve implemented a new program to make that process even easier! EyeMax has partnered with Dr. Contact Lens (https://portal.drcontactlens.com/) to provide a location where our patients can access their prescription at any time, and order contacts with just a few clicks. Once your prescription is finalized, it will be uploaded to the secure website where it will be accessible to you through text or email. All our patients with a current prescription will be have access to this resource. If you have insurance benefits that you need to use, we may be able to help you apply these benefits as well.

We hope this change makes your life just a little bit easier. Something we can all use in 2020! Please don’t hesitate to give us a call at 859-272-1422 if you have any questions. We’re happy to help!

Coronavirus continues to make headline news daily across the globe. EyeMax would like to assure our patients, doctors, and staff that the health and safety of all remains our utmost concern. We are closely following CDC guidelines and continue to monitor the spread of COVID-19 in order to maintain a safe environment. We have already implemented additional precautions to ensure the health of everyone in our office.

We have enhanced our already comprehensive office cleaning and sanitization processes, and continue emphasis on proper personal hygiene, including frequent handwashing and the proper use of hand sanitizer. All locations are equipped with cleaning supplies which have been EPA-certified to kill the COVID-19 virus, with instructions to increase the frequency of cleaning commonly touched surfaces, touchscreens, door handles, and writing utensils. In addition, tissues, hand sanitizer, and hand washing remains readily available to all patients along with our staff.

If you have traveled outside of the United States within the past month, or have been in contact with anyone who has, please let us know prior to scheduling or coming to your appointment.

If you have been ill recently and/or have experienced any flu-like symptoms (coughing, sneezing, chills, body aches, fever, fatigue, upset stomach, etc) please plan on delaying your evaluation for 1-2 weeks, and when you have been fever-free for at least 48 hours.

Ocular Health remains our priority and if you have to reschedule or avoid a previously planned visit due to any of the symptoms listed above, our doctors are happy to review the patient’s record to ensure the best care possible while decreasing the chance of spreading an infection.

If a patient arrives at any EyeMax location presenting any flu-like symptoms, your evaluation will be rescheduled following those same guidelines.

While we are conveniently located inside of WalMart, we are a private optometry group practice. Please feel free to utilize the separate front-door entries we have at each location to avoid any unnecessary traffic you may otherwise encounter. We are continuing to follow regular updates regarding the status within Central KY and will always inform you immediately if any procedures change further.

We are medical professionals and are working closely with health agencies to provide up-to-date, accurate information from reliable sources to our staff and patients.
