Shelby Henderson, O.D.

Dr. Shelby Henderson is a native of Lexington, Kentucky. She discovered a love for optometry while working as a technician at EyeMax during high school. She then attended the University of Evansville and completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2016. Dr. Shelby Henderson received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Kentucky College of Optometry in Pikeville, Kentucky as the valedictorian of the inaugural class of 2020. Upon graduation, she returned to Lexington and joined EyeMax in June 2020. When she’s not practicing optometry, Dr. Shelby Henderson enjoys watching documentaries, crafting, and cheering on the UK Wildcats at Rupp Arena and in the NBA.

As of 11:00am today, ALL EyeMax Locations including the office on Man O’War/Nicholasville Road will be closing it’s doors until further notice.

We will be fielding phone calls three times a day for URGENT/EMERGENCY EYE CARE ONLY. Please call (859)272-1422 anytime as needed for emergencies, and your call will be returned as soon as possible.
